Make A Difference for a Child in Need.

Everyday there are children in Columbia who put their name on a list.  A list for what?  A friend.  A mentor.  Big Brothers Big Sisters is a great organization that links children in Columbia with caring adults who serve as a mentor in their life.  This provides the children with a positive role model and someone to genuinely care about them.

Many children have to wait a long time.  Children with parents who are in prison usually wait even longer.  There is a special need for mentors for children with parents in prison and Karis has been asked to help.  Would you consider being a mentor to a child with a parent in prison?  If you’d like to learn more, email Tom.  Tom is a Karis representative to Big Brothers Big Sisters and is a mentor as well.

This is a great way to serve kids in our community and share the love of Jesus with them.  It is also a way to connect and serve those that are in prison by serving their children.

Seek Shalom.  Help a child in need.

The Good Samaritan
"Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?" He said, "The one who showed him mercy." And Jesus said to him, "You go, and do likewise." Luke 10:36-37
